Reading through the December 2014 issue of PEN Science and Technology, I’m impressed with the broad coverage of articles and interviews. The PEN editorial team did an excellent job on accurately transcribing our discussions about the future of sustainable aquaculture in Europe and the challenges that we face. It is very encouraging to see aquaculture in the European S&T spotlight amongst other high level scientific and societal issues, thereby highlighting its credentials as a supplier of healthy, high quality food for European citizens. A special thanks to Clifford for having contacted the European Aquaculture Society and for giving us this opportunity to share our views within the wide S&T community.
