The Global Power and Energy Exhibition (GPEX) is partnering with AT Kearney to examine the ongoing digital transformation in the energy sector.
The two organisations will host a free live webinar on 24 May at 10am CET, during which stakeholders will gather to discuss digital transformation in the energy sector. Speakers will explore the role that technology is playing in making energy smarter, greener and more efficient, in light of an urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in all sectors.
Speakers at the webinar include Junior Isles, editor-in-chief of The Energy Industry Times, and Sandeep Biswas, a partner at AT Kearney Singapore. The event aims to highlight the importance of clean energy technologies and low-carbon, energy efficiency strategies across the entire energy sector.
What do energy stakeholders need to know?
There are a number of areas which will be under discussion at the webinar, ahead of the GPEX 2018 event from 17-20 September in Barcelona, Spain, for which Government Europa is a media partner. GPEX serves as a vital opportunity for all stakeholders to discuss cutting-edge developments that are transforming energy.
Topics of discussion during the free-to-attend, 30 minute webinar will include:
- New ways in which utilities can interact with customers;
- The role of innovative digital technologies in addressing key energy sector challenges;
- The impact digital is having on changing business models and processes; and
- The need for organisations to urgently take advantage of energy digitisation.
The speakers will also take questions, ensuring that any specific concerns not covered during the discussion are addressed. Registration for the webinar is now open.
How will GPEX 2018 address this?
The accelerating digital transformation in the energy sector is a vital process which companies must adapt to and take advantage of if they are to more effectively and efficiently serve customers. For this reason, it is one of the three key themes of GPEX 2018.
The other themes are ‘the road to 2050’, which seeks to establish frameworks for the development of the energy sector in light of the need to urgently transition to renewables and meet climate change targets over the next 30 years, and financing the future of energy, which looks at investment opportunities in green energy.
